This wine is aged inside large wooden barrels and used French tonneaux. The grapes used in our local Ruppertsberg wine come from the Reiterpfad, Linsenbusch and Nußbien vineyards. Old red and yellow sandstone combined with lime marl and loess dominate here. This soil formation is also reflected in the wine. The red sandstone gives the wine a filigree acidity and fruitiness, while the lime marl and the loessial soil provide for salinity, brioche notes, and lustre.
