Kirchenberg is a distinctive, south-facing spot, right at the edge of the forest and dominated by bare yellow sandstone. The south-facing slope allows the grapes to ripen perfectly and very quickly throughout the day, while the area cools down very quickly in the evening and at night thanks to the nearby forest to retain a high level of acidity.
