Our oldest Chardonnay vineyard lies below the Ruppertsberger Gaisböhl. The red sandstone, lime marl and loess present in the subsoil make for a very salty, chalky and present style. This Chardonnay is stored exclusively in used wooden barrels to preserve the natural and open structure of the wine.
