Despite the cool, windy location, Königsbach wines are characterized by lots of enamel. The Ölberg mountain is an extension of the Königsbacher Idig towards Deidesheim. Our south-facing vineyard on the Mittelhaardt: vines that are over 30 years old, a blend of mottled sandstone, limestone boulders, and lime marl, in combination with the southeastern location, make for a cute contrast to the locations in Deidesheim dominated by mottled sandstone.
